Privacy Policy
As the operator of these pages, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations.
1. Data processing on our Internet pages
We process your personal data as follows:
Matomo (formerly Piwik)
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo, which collects and stores data for marketing and optimization purposes. From this data, usage profiles can be created under a pseudonym.
The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. As a website operator, we have a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both the web offer and advertising measures.
The information generated about the use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties.
Cookies may be used. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can disable the storage and use by clicking the checkbox. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, this will have the effect that the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out would then have to be reactivated when you visit our site again.
Objection:
You can decide here whether a unique web analysis cookie may be stored in your browser to enable the website operator to collect and analyze various statistical data.
If you wish to opt out, click the following checkbox to place the Matomo deactivation cookie in your browser.
Cookies
This website uses cookies. We use cookies to personalize content and ads, provide social media features, and analyze traffic to our website. We also share information about your use of our website with our social media, advertising and analytics partners. Our partners may combine this information with other data that you have provided to them or that they have collected as part of your use of the Services. You give consent to our cookies when you continue to use our website.
Cookies are small text files used by websites to make the user experience more efficient.
By law, we may store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we require your permission.
This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third parties that appear on our pages.
You can change or revoke your consent at any time from the cookie statement on our site.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These aremainly:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
A combination of this data with other data sources is not made.
The basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data on the basis of legitimate interest. In this case, there is a legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the web server. To ensure this, the administration must be able to detect and track attacks and malfunctions of the system via the server log files. In order to be able to recognize attack patterns, accesses to the server must be stored. As soon as this data is no longer needed, it is deleted. For technical reasons, the data is disclosed to the hosting service provider, who is, however, bound by instructions and contractually obliged to us.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via contact form, your information from the form will be stored for processing the request and for the case of follow-up questions with us.
Mandatory fields are marked accordingly. The completion of mandatory fields is necessary so that we can fulfill your requests. Otherwise, all information is voluntary.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. A revocation is only valid for the future.
We will not pass on your data to third parties without your consent or without another legal basis.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after processing of your request has been completed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Timetable VRR
We use a tool of the Verkehrsverband Rhein-Ruhr (VRR), Augustastraße 1, 45879 Gelsenkirchen, Germany, for the timetable information. The data processing is carried out exclusively by the VRR. The current data protection information of the VRR and supplementary information can be found here: https://vrr.de/de/datenschutz/.
YouTube
We use plugins of the Google-operated site YouTube in our Internet presence. The operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Through privacy-friendly default settings, YouTube states it only stores your data when you watch the video.
For more information on the handling of user data, please see YouTube’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de
Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps and its API to display interactive maps and provide driving directions. Google Maps is a mapping service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA. By using Google Maps, information about the use of this website, including your IP address and the (start) address entered as part of the route planner function, if applicable, is transmitted to Google in the USA.
When you call up a web page of our website that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google’s servers. The map content is transmitted by Google directly to your browser and integrated by it into the website. Therefore, we have no influence on the scope of the data collected by Google in this way. According to our knowledge, this concerns at least the following data:
- date and time of the visit to the website in question,
- Internet address or URL of the accessed web page,
- IP address,
- entered (start) address in the context of route planning.
We have no influence on the further processing and use of data by Google and can therefore assume no responsibility for this. However, Google guarantees through certification under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield that the EU data protection requirements are also met when processing data in the U.S. (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI). If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you will not be able to use the map display. For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This function makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one end device (e.g. cell phone) can also be displayed on another of your end devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
If you have given Google the appropriate consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history with your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can be displayed on each end device on which you log in with your Google account.
To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of users that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create audiences for cross-device ad advertising.
You can permanently opt-out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalized advertising in your Google account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The aggregation of the collected data in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you have given to Google and can revoke (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). In the case of data collection processes that are not merged in your Google Account (e.g. because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to the merger), the collection of the data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the privacy policy can be found in the privacy policy of Google at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de
Doubleclick
Doubleclick by Google is a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google“). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to present you with advertisements that are relevant to you. In the process, a pseudonymous identification number (cookie ID) is assigned to your browser. Via the cookie ID, DoubleClick can record which advertisements have already been displayed in a browser in order to avoid duplicate placements. Furthermore, the cookie ID enables DoubleClick to record conversions. Conversions are recorded, for example, when a DoubleClick ad has previously been displayed to a user and the user subsequently makes a purchase on the advertiser's website using the same Internet browser.
A DoubleClick cookie does not contain any personal data. However, a DoubleClick cookie may contain additional campaign identifiers. A campaign identifier serves to identify the campaigns with which the user has already been in contact.
By each call of a website on which a DoubleClick component is integrated, the Internet browser transmits data to Google for the purpose of online advertising and the settlement of commissions. As part of this technical process, Google can, among other things, track that you have clicked on certain links on our website.
You can prevent the setting of cookies, as shown above, at any time by means of an appropriate setting in the Internet browser and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. In addition, cookies already set by Google can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser.
Further information and the applicable privacy policy of DoubleClick by Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify the user. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of ”conversion cookies“ is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both its web offering and its advertising.
More information on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, as well as activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When disabling cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
